Cold Brew Prebiotic Dandelion Iced Tea
Let’s talk about prebiotics. It seems that probiotics get all the attention, but did you know that prebiotics actually feed and fuel the good microorganisms in your gut?
That’s right -- prebiotics boost probiotic activity in your gut, supporting your digestive system and stimulating your body’s natural detoxification process. Best of all? Both maple water and raw dandelion greens are excellent sources of prebiotics.
We decided to help you reap the prebiotic benefits of maple water and dandelion greens by sharing our simple, sweet and refreshing cold brew recipe for a prebiotic iced tea. We love this recipe because it is sourced from some of our favorite plants, is sweetened naturally, and is made with pure ingredients that have mother nature’s stamp of approval.
This recipe makes one serving, so feel free to double or triple it to make a pitcher for friends (or to save some for later...)
Ingredients
- 2 organic dandelion leaf & root tea bags
- 2 cups Drink Simple Maple Water
- 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup
- Maple water ice cubes (if desired)
- Fresh lime juice (if desired)
Directions
- Place 2 dandelion tea bags into a mason jar.
- Pour 2 cups of maple water over the tea bags, and place the lid on top.
